DIY Sun burst tie dye shirt

Hey guys! I back with another DIY. Tie dye is a staple piece in my closet and it's extremely easy to make. I wanted to make something different instead of the same spiral one I always make so I ended up doing a sun burst kind of shirt. Well anyways, enjoy!

Materials needed:
- Gloves      - Bucket
- Rit dye      - Rubber bands
- White T-shirt
Steps:
1. You're going to start to put rubber bands on your shirt. Pinch a piece of the shirt and let it hang, place the rubber band an inch away from your finger. (see in picture below)

2. Prepare the dye. Follow the instruction on your dye bottle because every dye is different and remember to wear gloves! I used hot water because the color stays better.
3. Place the shirt in the dye for about 10 to 15 minutes! When the time is up, spray the shirt with the hose until the water runs clear.
4. Take the rubber bands off.
 5. WASH THE SHIRT SEPARABLY OR HAND WASH
That's it! I hope you enjoyed this DIY.

  1. Love this shirt! I dyed a skirt and used marbles with the rubber bands to make circles. You can check it out at, http://thechillydog.blogspot.com/2013/07/dont-lose-your-marbles-skirt.html. Dyeing like this is such a quick and easy way to brighten up a plain piece of clothing.
